With over a decade of experience as a litigation and appellate attorney, Ms. Tanaka focuses on nursing home litigation, catastrophic injury cases, and wrongful death claims, advocating tirelessly for individuals and families affected by negligence and suffering from life-altering injuries. She brings a compassionate approach to every case while ensuring her clients receive the justice and compensation they deserve.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Ms. Tanaka earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Guelph and later pursued a Master of Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University. She then obtained her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where she excelled as a member of the prestigious Stetson Moot Court Board. Her advocacy skills took her to international competitions in Budapest, Hungary, and Vienna, Austria, where she and her team received Honorable Mention for Best Team Orals at the Willem C. Vis Competition. She was also recognized with the Pro Bono Service Award for her commitment to serving her community.
Ms. Tanaka is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the Tampa Bay Inn of Court and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. With family in Sarasota and St. Petersburg, she has deep connections to the Tampa Bay area and is committed to making a difference in the lives of those she represents.
Outside the courtroom, Ms. Tanaka enjoys staying active through yoga and Pilates, jogging along Bayshore Boulevard, and exploring new travel destinations.
