Why Community Involvement Is Important to Us

Wikipedia lists Tampa as the 48th largest city in the U.S. Tampa Bay boasts championship sports teams, world class dining, a rich arts and cultural community and plenty of recreational opportunities. While we live in the Tampa Bay region, our ‘home’ is in the local areas and communities which we serve daily.  Whether it’s Carrollwood, Westchase, Dade City, Wesley Chapel, New Port Richey, Lutz, or other areas in the Tampa Bay Region, we take pride in being involved in our local communities and building lasting relationships throughout. 

It is important for the team members at Slater | Grant to be involved with local networks of community members. The more people who know about a community’s needs and who are willing to work toward a goal, the more likely a community is to be successful in reaching its goals.

Community involvement also gives our team members a way to voice their passions. Whether it’s pets, sports, families, veterans or something else, we want each person on our team to have the opportunity to express themselves outside the office. When people are given the opportunity to be involved in their passion as a volunteer opportunity at work, they’re engaged and our team grows stronger. 

In 2021, Slater | Grant will partner with local charities, non-profits, and first responders primarily in the Carrollwood and Wesley Chapel areas, so that we can learn more about where we live and the issues that face people on a daily basis. This year, we will partner with the Community Food Pantry, The Thomas Promise Foundation and the Bob Sierra YMCA, to name a few.
